We’re reopening more seating areas at our stores across the UK
26 April 2021
Following the successful reopening of our outdoor seating areas in England, we’re delighted that from 26 April we will be reopening our outdoor seating areas at our stores in Wales, and both our indoor and outdoor seating areas at our stores in Scotland.
Stores in England and Wales without outdoor seating will continue to remain open for takeaway, delivery, Drive-Thru and Click & Collect only.
In-line with strict government guidelines, we’ve amended how we serve customers choosing to use our seating areas, ensuring the safety of both customers and team members. We’ll be operating on a first come, first served basis, and some stores may have limited seating available to help everyone follow social distancing guidelines. We are required to ask all customers looking to use our seating areas, including those ordering via Click & Collect on the app, to provide their contact details in support of NHS contact tracing services.
This is a legal requirement placed upon us and other hospitality businesses, and team members will be asking customers at the till, or when collecting a Click & Collect order to enjoy in our seating areas, to check in using either Costa Track and Trace or an NHS contact tracing app. In line with Welsh Government guidelines, customers in Wales are required to provide verification of their name when providing their contact details, for example a driver’s licence, bank or credit card.
You can read more about how we’re keeping everyone safe, including how to share contact information via either Costa Track and Trace or NHS Test and Trace here.
Thank you for your ongoing support and take care.
