This offer is available until further notice to Costa Coffee Club members who are GB residents, over 16 years of age and who have registered to use the Costa Coffee Club app (the "App"). All participants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full.

  1. Invite a friend to join the Costa Coffee Club by forwarding the invitation to them that you will find in the App. The invitation contains a link to the App and your unique invitation code. If your friend follows the link, downloads the App and enters your invitation code when they register on the App, both you and your friend will receive 200 bonus Costa Coffee Club points when your friend first makes a purchase in a participating Costa store that qualifies for Costa Coffee Club points and swipes the App to earn their Costa Coffee Club points on that purchase in accordance with the Costa Coffee Club Membership Terms and Conditions which are available here.

  2. There is no limit to the number of friends you can invite to register on the App however each person you invite must be a GB resident over 16 years of age and must not already be registered on the App. Please note that the Costa Coffee Club Membership Terms and Conditions provide that an individual may only register one membership.

  3. Each friend that registers on the App will also receive 100 bonus Costa Coffee Club points when they register on the App.

  4. Please allow 48 hours for your bonus points to be added to your account. Costa Coffee Club points are issued subject to and strictly in accordance with the Costa Coffee Club Membership Terms and Conditions.

  5. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative. Costa Coffee Club points are non-transferable and cannot be resold.

  6. The promoter processes your personal data in connection with the offer for the purposes of administering and managing the offer. This processing is in order to fulfil a contract or take steps linked to a contract (and if it is not provided, you may not be able to enter into, or the promoter may not be able to fulfil, the contract). Additional information about the purposes for which the promoter processes personal data, how it is processed and data protection rights (including the right to object in circumstances) are set out in the promoter’s Privacy Policy, a copy of which can be found here.

  7. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the terms of this offer at any time. Note of the withdrawal of the offer or the amendment of its terms will be posted on the App. The withdrawal or amendment of the offer will not affect participants who have already earned bonus points in accordance with the terms of the offer before the offer is withdrawn or amended.

  8. The promoter also reserves the right to withdraw, alter or suspend the offer at any time with or without notice if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

  9. The Promoter reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion to: (i) verify the eligibility of: (a) any person referring a friend; and (b) each friend that registers on the App (including their age and place of residence); and (ii) to disqualify any person found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the offer or endeavouring to earn bonus points using fraudulent means including by registering on the App more than once or who the promoter otherwise believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions.

  10. If the promoter fails to comply with these terms and conditions, the promoter is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of the promoter's breach of these terms and conditions or its negligence, but it is not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if they were an obvious consequence of the promoter's breach or if they were contemplated by you and the promoter at the time that you entered the offer.

  11. Save where required by law, the promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions for reasons beyond its control and accepts no responsibility or liability for any attempt to register with or to log-in the App which is unsuccessful or incomplete for technical or other reasons beyond its control.

  12. The offer and these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the offer and these terms and conditions in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the offer and these terms and conditions in either the Scottish or the English courts.

1. Who can enter:

  • 1.1 The promotion is open to residents of England, Scotland and Wales who are aged 18 or over when they enter the promotion, excluding employees of Costa Coffee and its subcontractors, subsidiaries and anyone professionally connected with the promotion and their immediate families.

2. How to enter:

  • 2.1 There is no purchase necessary to enter the promotion. To enter the promotion you must provide feedback on your store visit by visiting feedbacktocosta.co.uk and following the instructions. Once your feedback has been received (including your contact details, where requested) you will automatically be entered into the promotion.

  • 2.2 Your data will be used only by Costa for the purposes of administering the promotion and by Clarabridge for the collection of feedback responses.

  • 2.3 Text messages will be charged at your standard network rate and your mobile number will not be disclosed to any third parties for marketing purposes.

  • 2.4 Only one entry per person per month is allowed; multiple entries from individuals will not be permitted.

  • 2.5 The promotional period will run from 00:00 on 03 January 2021 until 23:59 on 31 December 2021.

3. Selection and prize details:

  • 3.1 On or before the first Friday of each month following the month in respect of which entries are received, a winner will be drawn at random by computer for the preceding month. Each winner will be notified that they have won by email within two weeks of the relevant draw. There will be two winners every month.

  • 3.2 Each winner will a £50 amazon voucher.

  • 3.3 There is no cash or other alternative prize available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the promoter reserves the right to provide a similar alternative prize of equal or greater value. If a winner cannot be contacted within four weeks after the promoter first tries to contact them in accordance with paragraph 3.1, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw that winner's prize and award that prize to an alternative winner drawn at random by computer from the participants who participated in the relevant draw.

4. Other terms:

  • 4.1 The promoter cannot accept responsibility for any difficulties in entering or any entries that are not included in the draw for any reason whatsoever.

  • 4.2 The winner may be required to participate in in reasonable publicity as may be required by the promoter in respect of the promotion.

  • 4.4 The promoter reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:

    • iii.disqualify entrants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry on someone else's behalf.

  • 4.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the promoter excludes liability for any losses, damages or claims incurred by any person in connection with the promotion or receipt or misuse of any prize.

  • 4.6 Except as otherwise required by applicable law, the promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any entry or claim which for technical or other reasons is unsuccessful, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, corrupted or misdirected.

  • 4.7 The promotion and these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. 1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 By entering this promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.

1.2 The promotion is open to residents of the UK aged 18 or over at the date on which they enter the promotion, excluding employees of Costa Limited (“Costa”), its group companies, its agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion and any member of their respective immediate families. Excludes residents of Northern Ireland.

1.3 Entry opens on 00:00 UK time on Wednesday 27th January 2021 and closes at 23:59 UK time on Thursday 28th January 2021. Entries received after this time and date will not be eligible to win a prize.

1.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the promotion. However, in order to enter the promotion, you must have an Internet connection and a Twitter account.

2. ENTRY TO THE PROMOTION

2.1 To enter the promotion, visit the promoter’s Twitter page at www.twitter.com/CostaCoffee and answer the question by commenting, ‘Which book won Costa Book of the Year last night?’ on the promoter's Twitter page.

2.2 Only one entry is permitted per person.

3. WINNERS

3.1 5 winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries by computer by 12:00PM UK time on Friday 29th January.
Entries need to answer the posed question correctly confirming what the Book of the Year’s title is.

3.2 Winners will be contacted directly on Twitter on Friday 29th January and will be asked to confirm their details for delivery of the prize.

4. THE PRIZES
4.1 There is a total of 5 prizes available to be won. Each prize consists of a Category Winner set of 5 books and a gift card value of £10.

5. CONDITIONS
5.1 In the event that Costa is unable to contact a winner within 3 working days of the relevant draw, Costa reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner selected at random.

5.2 The prizes will be delivered within 30 working days from a valid acceptance of the prize.

5.3 No cash alternative. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be resold. Costa reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Costa, the prize will only be awarded to the winner.

5.4 Each winner agrees to take part in reasonable publicity as may be required by Costa in respect of the promotion.

5.5 No entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, script or the use of automated devices are permitted and no bulk entries.

5.6 All costs and expenses not included within the prizes are the responsibility of the winner(s).

5.7 Costa reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:
(a) verify the eligibility of any participant (including their age and place of residence);
(b) disqualify any participant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the promotion or entering using fraudulent means, or who Costa believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions;
(c) disqualify participants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry on someone else's behalf; [and
(d) disqualify any participant posting an entry or a comment to Costa’s Twitter page that is, in Costa’s opinion, inappropriate, offensive or upsetting to other participants, fans of Costa or contrary to applicable law, and to remove any such entry or comment.

6. LIABILITY

6.1 The promotion is not in any way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter. Participants acknowledge that Twitter shall not have any liability to them in connection with the promotion.

6.2 Subject to paragraph 6.3, if Costa fails to comply with these terms and conditions, it will be responsible for loss or damage participants suffer that is a foreseeable result of Costa’s breach of these terms and condition. Costa is not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

6.3 Costa shall not be liable for: (i) any failure to comply with these terms and conditions as a consequence of events beyond its reasonable control including without limitation, any failure of communication networks and any closure of participating Costa stores or interruption in supplies as a consequence of Covid-19 or of any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Costa; and/or (ii) any loss of profits, loss of revenue or other economic loss or any indirect or consequential loss.

6.4 Except as otherwise required by applicable law, Costa accepts no responsibility or liability for any entry or claim which for technical or other reasons is unsuccessful, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, corrupted or misdirected.

7. GENERAL

7.2 Costa reserves the right to extend, withdraw, alter or suspend the promotion or to amend these terms and conditions at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

7.3 All personal data submitted in connection with the promotion will be processed by Costa for the purposes of administering and managing the promotion and the award of prizes (where applicable) and verifying the eligibility of a participant. Costa is committed to protecting the privacy of all participants. 7.4 By entering the promotion each participant gives Costa permission to publish their surname and county of residence if they are a winner of one of the prizes unless the participant notifies Costa that they do not wish us to make these details available. Please note that Costa will nonetheless be required to provide the names of all prize winners to the Advertising Standard Authority if requested to do so.
