This offer is available until further notice by Costa (the "Promoter") to Costa Club members who are GB residents, over 16 years of age and who have registered to use the Costa Club app (the "App"). All participants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full. These terms and conditions should be read, where applicable, together with the Costa Club terms and conditions (the "Costa Club Terms") which can be found here.

  1. Registered members of the Costa Club who have downloaded the App (each a potential "Referrer") can invite a friend ("Recipient") to download the App and join the Costa Club by following the on-screen instructions at the “invite your friends to the app” section of the App. The App will create a unique invitation ("Invite or Invitation") which can be sent to a Recipient by the Referrer. The Invitation contains a link to the App and a unique invitation code for the Recipient. Please note that both a Recipient and a Referrer must have a mobile device with an internet connection which is capable of downloading the App in order to participate.

  2. Before the Referrer invites a friend to join the Club as part of any promotion operated by us, please only do so with their prior consent. Don’t spam them. The Referrer must ask for the Recipients’ consent before forwarding any invitation or Club access link to them.

  3. A Recipient must download the App via the link in the Invitation and (provided they comply with the requirements of the Costa Club Terms) sign up to become a member of the Costa Club.

  4. In order for both the Recipient and the Referrer to receive the benefits set out at paragraph 4 below, the Recipient must:
    a) have consented to receive the invitation from the Referrer
    b) follow the link provided in the Invitation to download the App;
    c) as part of registering for the Costa Club on the App, provide the unique invitation code from the Invitation at the appropriate part of the sign-up process; and
    d) make a bean earning purchase in accordance with the Costa Club Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, this means the Recipient needs to make a purchase of:
    (i) a handcrafted drink (i.e. any handcrafted drink which is on the menu board at a Costa outlet) from a participating Costa outlet in Great Britain;
    (ii) a bundle deal drink (i.e. any drink which is included in any bundle deal) from a participating Costa outlet in Great Britain;
    (iii) a drink from a Costa Express machine in Great Britain; or
    (iv) any drinks purchased at (i) to (iii) above (inclusive) via Click & Collect and/or Contactless Ordering (see Contactless Ordering and Click & Collect sections of the Costa Club Terms),
    and scan or otherwise use the App when making any purchase referred to at (i) to (iv) above (inclusive) ("Qualifying Purchase").

  5. If the Recipient complies with all of the requirements of paragraph 3 above, both the Recipient and the Referrer will have five (5) beans added to their Costa Club account within 48 hours of the Recipient making a Qualifying Purchase. Costa Club beans are issued strictly in accordance with the Costa Club Terms.

  6. There is no limit to the number of Recipients a Referrer can invite to download the App and register for the Costa Club. However, each Recipient must comply with the Costa Club Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, each person you invite must be a GB resident over 16 years of age and must not already be a member of the Costa Club. Please note that the Costa Club Terms provide that an individual may only register one membership.

  7. No cash alternative. Costa Club beans are non-transferable and cannot be resold.

  8. The Promoter processes your personal data in connection with the offer for the purposes of administering and managing the offer. This processing is in order to fulfil a contract or take steps linked to a contract (and if it is not provided, you may not be able to enter into, or the Promoter may not be able to fulfil, the contract). Additional information about the purposes for which the Promoter processes personal data, how it is processed and data protection rights (including the right to object in circumstances) are set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, a copy of which can be found here.

  9. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the terms of this offer at any time. Notice of the withdrawal of the offer or the amendment of its terms will be posted on the App. The withdrawal or amendment of the offer will not affect Referrers or Recipients who have already earned beans in accordance with the terms of the offer before the offer is withdrawn or amended.

  10. The Promoter also reserves the right to withdraw, alter or suspend the offer at any time with or without notice if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

  11. The Promoter reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion to: (i) verify the eligibility of: (a) any Referrer; and (b) each Recipient (including their age and place of residence); and (ii) to disqualify any person found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the offer or endeavouring to earn beans using fraudulent means including (but not limited to) by: (a) a Recipient registering on the App more than once; (b) a Referrer sharing a unique code to more than one Recipient (via posting the unique code on a website, public forum, public social platforms or on the Costa Club page, for example). Please note however that there is no limit to the number of Recipients a Referrer can invite to download the App and register for the Costa Club, but a Referrer should generate a new unique code for each Recipient; or (c) who the Promoter otherwise believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions or the Costa Club Terms.

  12. If the Promoter fails to comply with these terms and conditions, the promoter is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of the Promoter's breach of these terms and conditions or its negligence, but it is not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if they were an obvious consequence of the promoter's breach or if they were contemplated by you and the promoter at the time that you entered the offer.

  13. Save where required by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions for reasons beyond its control and accepts no responsibility or liability for any attempt to register with or to log-in the App which is unsuccessful or incomplete for technical or other reasons beyond its control.

  14. The offer and these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the offer and these terms and conditions in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the offer and these terms and conditions in either the Scottish or the English courts.

You can use the ‘Free Birthday Treat’ reward on (subject to availability) a single piece/slice/portion (as applicable) of fresh cake, muffins, sweet pastries, tarts, teacakes, traybakes, cookies/shortbread, buns, doughnuts, on ice cream, or any sweet gluten free products.   1. Under the Costa Club Membership terms, when you earn 10 beans you will receive a ‘Free Drink’ Reward. You are now entitled to share that Reward, if you wish, with a friend through the Costa Club app ‘Gift a Reward’ functionality.

  2. You must be a member of the Costa Club and have the Costa Club app to be able to share the Reward with a friend.

  3. There is no maximum amount of Rewards you are able to share with a friend, however you will only be permitted to share five (5) Rewards with a friend at any one time through the Costa Club app. If you wish to share more, you will need to access the Costa Club app an additional time to make this transfer.

  4. You will be able to share the Reward via social media direct message channels, email or instant messaging.

  5. If you share a Reward with a friend, it will be removed from your Costa Club app once it has been accepted by your friend, and you shall not be entitled to also use that Reward. If you use the Reward prior to it being accepted by your friend in the Costa Club app, your friend will no longer receive the Reward. If you share one Reward with multiple friends, the first friend to enter the code on their Costa Club app will redeem that reward and it will become unavailable to any others you have shared it with.

  6. If you receive a notification that a friend has shared a Reward with you and you are:
    a) not a Costa Club member, to redeem the Reward, you will be required to: (i) download the Costa Club app; and (b) register as a member of the Costa Club; or
    b) a Costa Club member, the reward will automatically appear as a ‘Free Drink’ in the rewards section on the Costa Club app.

  7. Once a Reward has been shared with you, you can choose to redeem the Reward or you can transfer the Rewards to any other person in accordance with these terms and conditions.

  8. The Rewards: (a) cannot be used more than once; (b) is only valid for three (3) months from the date on which they are issued and (c) can only be redeemed against handcrafted drinks purchased in-store at participating Costa outlets.

  10. The promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion at any time without prior notice if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

  11. The promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions as a consequence of events beyond its reasonable control.

    1. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.

    2. The promoter is Costa Limited (company no 01270695) whose registered office is at 3 Knaves Beech Business Centre, Davies Way, Loudwater, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP10 9QR (“Costa”).

    3. This promotion is open to Costa Club App members who are residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over at the date on which they enter the promotion (“Eligible Members”). Costa Club members who use a card and employees of Costa, its group companies, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion and any member of their respective immediate families and will not be eligible for entry into this promotion.

    4. Entry into this promotion opens at 00:01 on Friday 10th May 2024 and closes at 23:59 on Sunday 23rd June 2024 (the "Promotion Period"). Entries received after the end of the Promotion Period will not be eligible to win a prize.

    5. No purchase is necessary to enter this promotion.

  2. ENTRY TO THE PROMOTION

2.1 To enter this promotion, before the end of the Promotion Period, an Eligible Member must:

2.1.1 locate the prize draw tile titled “Win the ultimate festival experience” within the home page of their Costa Club App and click “Enter prize draw”;

2.1.2 complete the prize draw entry form which appears on screen (“Entry Form”), in full, ensuring they provide their full name, email address, date of birth and select Boardmasters as their festival choice; and

2.1.3 submit the Entry Form.

2.2 The email address submitted via the prize draw entry form must be the same email address that is linked to the Eligible Member’s Costa Club account (i.e. that is registered in the “Your Profile” section of their Costa Club App account) on the date the prize draw takes place.

2.3 Only one entry is permitted per Eligible Member; additional entries will not be counted. Anyone trying to circumvent this rule by using alternative details including but not limited to creating multiple email addresses/Costa Club App loyalty accounts, will be disqualified from this promotion.

  1. THE PRIZES

3.1 There is a total of 2 prizes available to be won: 1 premium prize package; and 1 runner-up prize. Details of what is included in each prize type are set out below:

  • 1 Premium prize package consisting of:

3.1.1.1 4 VIP tickets (18+ only) for the 2024 Boardmasters Festival, Trebelsue Farm, Watergate Bay, Newquay, TR8 4HR (“2024 Boardmasters Festival”) for Wednesday 7th August through Sunday 11th August 2024. Weekend VIP tickets include fast track entry to Campsites & Arena, VIP Campsite space, access to a Chill-out tent, VIP bar, Flushing toilets, Showers, 24-hour reception desk, complimentary parking pass & VIP area access in the main arena. Food and drink(s) are not included and the purchase of food and drink(s) is the responsibility of the winner and their guests.

3.1.1.2 A travel allowance of £250 (in total), payable by BACS, to a UK bank account in the name of the winner only.

3.1.1.3 4-person glamping tent in the VIP campsite for the duration of the festival, Wed-Mon, with showers, pamper parlour and phone charging. Food and drink(s) are not included and the purchase of food and drink(s) is the responsibility of the winner and their guests.

3.1.1.4 Spending money of £400 (in total), payable by BACS, to a UK bank account in the name of the winner only.

3.1.1.5 A surfing lesson (including equipment hire) for 2 hours for the winner and their 3 guests at Trebelsue Farm, Watergate Bay, Newquay.

3.1.1.6 4 x £50 Costa Coffee E-gift cards (i.e. digital gift cards). Costa Coffee Egift Cards are issued subject to the terms and conditions at https://gifting.costa.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/. Please note in particular that they can only be used for your personal non-commercial use. You may not sell your Costa Coffee Egift Card or use it in sales or promotional activities. Costa Coffee Egift cards will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Redemption instructions will be provided along with the Egift card.

3.1.2 1 runner-up prize consisting of 2 general admission weekend tickets (without camping) (18+ only) to the 2024 Boardmasters Festival valid from Wednesday 7th August 2024 through Sunday 11th August 2024;

3.2 No cash or other alternative prizes will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of Costa’s control which mean that Costa cannot award the prizes described above, Costa reserves the right to substitute a similar prize or part of the prize of equal or greater value.

3.3 Each prize, and each element of each prize, is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or resold.

3.4 Tickets for, and access to, the 2024 Boardmasters Festival are subject to booking and event terms and conditions - Event T&Cs apply – see here. Ticketing T&Cs apply – see here. In particular, please note that:

3.4.1 Ticket holder names must be provided before tickets are issued. No name changes can be made after tickets are issued.

3.4.2 No duplicate tickets will be issued to replace tickets that have been lost or stolen after they have been delivered, and nor will such tickets be refunded.

3.4.3 Re-sale or attempted re-sale of tickets is not permitted and may result in the tickets being cancelled or entry refused without prior notification, refund, compensation or liability.

3.4.4 Proof of age in the form of a valid photographic ID will be required on entry to the 2024 Boardmasters Festival and may be required for the purchase of alcohol.

3.4.5 Winners and their guests must arrive at the 2024 Boardmasters Festival at the same time.

3.4.6 The 2024 Boardmasters Festival organisers reserve the right of refusal of admission.

3.5 If any tickets for the 2024 Boardmasters Festival are obtained or used in breach of the terms and conditions of entry, they will be automatically void. The bearer will be refused entry and, if already in the festival, will be ejected, in either case without refund.

4. THE WINNERS

4.1 There will be a total of 2 winners; 1 winner of the premium prize package and 1 winner of the runner up prize.

4.2 Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries on the 24th June 2024, using a randomized computer process.

4.3 Winners will be notified within 5 days of the end of the Promotion Period, by Circle Agency Ltd (Costa’s marketing agency), via the email address provided in the Entry Form that they have won and will be given details of how to claim their prize. Entrants are encouraged to monitor this email account during this time in case they are a winner.

4.4 To enable prize fulfilment, winners must confirm their full name and email address, and provide the names of their guests, within 7 days of notification that they have won. The premium prize package winner must also provide their UK bank account sort code, account number and full name as it appears on that account to Circle Agency Ltd. Circle Agency Ltd’s privacy policy can be viewed here: https://circleagency.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CircleAgencyPrivacyPolicyOctober2019V2.pdf. Costa is not responsible for winners failing to supply accurate and timely information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.

4.5 The delivery of a prize may be withheld if a winner has submitted an alternative email address to the one linked to their Costa Club account in their Entry Form and/or if they have cancelled their Costa Club App membership. In such cases, the prize will be forfeited, and Costa reserves the right to make another draw and to allocate the prize to the next available winner.

4.6 If a prize is not claimed within 7 days of being notified, the required information to enable prize delivery hasn’t been provided or a prize is declined, then the prize will be forfeited and Costa reserves the right to make another draw and to allocate the prize to the next available winner.

4.7 Tickets for the 2024 Boardmasters Festival and glamping reservations and Costa Coffee Egift cards for the premium prize package winner will be delivered no later than 31st July 2024, by email, to the email address provided in the Entry Form. The travel allowance and spending money for the premium prize package winner will be paid, via BACS, in pounds sterling to a UK bank account in the name of the winner only no later than 31st July 2024. Prizes will not be delivered or paid to any third party and will be sent by Circle Agency Ltd.

4.8 This promotion is managed by Circle Agency Ltd on behalf of Costa. All claim correspondence will be sent out via email to the winning recipients from costacoffee@circleagency.co.uk.

5. CONDITIONS

5.1 Winners and their guests must be 18 years of age to attend 2024 Boardmasters Festival. Valid photo ID is required on entry. Winners and all guests must bring a valid photo ID (passport or driving licence) or entry may be refused.

5.2 You must be using the latest version of the Costa Club App to enter the promotion.

5.3 Each winner agrees to take part in reasonable publicity as may be required by Costa in respect of the promotion.

5.4 No entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, script or the use of automated devices or bulk entries are permitted or accepted.

5.5 All costs and expenses not included within the prizes are the responsibility of the winners and their guests. This includes, but is not limited to, travel costs to get to the 2024 Boardmasters Festival and the costs of any food and/or drink required.

5.6 Costa reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:

5.6.1 verify the eligibility of any participant (including their age and place of residence);

5.6.2 disqualify any participant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the promotion or entering/winning using fraudulent means, or who Costa believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions;

5.6.3 disqualify participants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry, or have created a Costa Club account, on someone else's behalf; and

5.6.4 disqualify any participant that is, in Costa’s opinion, inappropriate, disrespectful, offensive or upsetting to other participants, fans of Costa or who acts contrary to applicable law and/or the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (CAP Code).

6. LIABILITY

6.1 Except as otherwise required by applicable law, Costa accepts no responsibility or liability for any entry or claim which, for technical or other reasons, is unsuccessful, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, corrupted or misdirected. Costa shall not be liable for a failure to fulfil this promotion or for any breach of these terms and conditions caused by events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

6.2 Costa has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. Costa will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, any attempt to register with, or to log-in to, the Costa Club App which is unsuccessful or incomplete, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent entry to the promotion.

6.3 Costa and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

7. GENERAL

7.2 Costa reserves the right to extend, withdraw, alter or suspend the prizes or these terms and conditions at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

7.3 Any images are an illustrative example and do not show the exact prize(s).

7.4 All personal data submitted in connection with this promotion will be processed by Costa for the purposes of administering and managing the promotion and prizes (where applicable) and verifying the eligibility of each participant. You acknowledge that Costa may pass such information to its third-party agency, Circle Agency Ltd, solely for the purposes of administering the promotion. Costa is committed to protecting the privacy of all participants. Data that is collected from or about participants will be used in accordance with Costa’s Privacy Policy (which also includes information about the data rights of participants), a copy of which can be found at www.costa.co.uk/privacy-policy . 7.5 Each winner gives Costa permission to publish their surname and county of residence to members of the public or regulators who request this information within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Winners have the right to request that their name not be published in the public domain, to do they must notify Costa that they do not wish Costa to make these details available. Please note that Costa will nonetheless be required to provide the names of all prize winners to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested to do so.

7.6 If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

7.7 The promotion and these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the promotion and these terms and conditions in the English and Welsh courts. If you live in Scotland, you will also benefit from any mandatory provisions of Scottish law and can bring legal proceedings in respect of the promotion and these terms and conditions in either the Scottish or the English courts.

  • Opportunity for winner and their 3 guests to walk alongside Costa Coffee in the Brighton Pride parade on Saturday 3rd August 2024.

3.1.2 1 runner-up prize consisting of 2 general admission tickets (18+ only) to Fabuloso Festival, Preston Park, Brighton on Saturday 03rd and Sunday 4th August 2024.

3.2 No cash or other alternative prizes will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of Costa’s control which mean that Costa cannot award the prizes described above, Costa reserves the right to substitute a similar prize or part of the prize of equal or greater value.

3.5 If any tickets for Kisstory on Blackheath Festival are obtained or used in breach of the terms and conditions of entry, they will be automatically void. The bearer will be refused entry and, if already in the festival, will be ejected, in either case without refund.

4. THE WINNERS

4.1 There will be a total of 2 winners; 1 winner of the premium prize package and 1 winner of the runner up prize.

4.2 Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries on the 24th June 2024, using a randomized computer process.

4.3 Winners will be notified within 5 days of the end of the Promotion Period, by Circle Agency Ltd (Costa’s marketing agency), via the email address provided in the Entry Form that they have won and will be given details of how to claim their prize. Entrants are encouraged to monitor this email account during this time in case they are a winner.

4.4 To enable prize fulfilment, winners must confirm their full name and email address, and provide the names of their guests, within 7 days of notification that they have won. 4.7 Tickets for the 2024 Kisstory on Blackheath Festival and hotel reservations and Costa Coffee Egift cards for the premium prize package winner will be delivered no later than 19thJuly 2024, by email, to the email address provided in the Entry Form. The travel allowance and spending money for the premium prize package winner will be paid, via BACS, in pounds sterling to a UK bank account in the name of the winner only no later than 19th July 2024. Prizes will not be delivered or paid to any third party and will be sent by Circle Agency Ltd.

1. Who can enter:

  • 1.1 The promotion is open to residents of England, Scotland and Wales who are aged 18 or over when they enter the promotion, excluding employees of Costa Coffee and its subcontractors, subsidiaries and anyone professionally connected with the promotion and their immediate families.

2. How to enter:

  • 2.1 There is no purchase necessary to enter the promotion. To enter the promotion you must provide feedback on your store visit by visiting feedbacktocosta.co.uk and following the instructions. Once your feedback has been received (including your contact details, where requested) you will automatically be entered into the promotion.

  • 2.2 Your data will be used only by Costa for the purposes of administering the promotion and by Ipsos, leveraging the Medallia surveying solution for the collection of feedback responses.

  • 2.3 Text messages will be charged at your standard network rate and your mobile number will not be disclosed to any third parties for marketing purposes.

  • 2.4 Only one entry per person per month is allowed; multiple entries from individuals will not be permitted.

  • 2.5 The promotional period will run from 00:00 on 03 January 2021 until 23:59 on 31 December 2024.

3. Selection and prize details:

  • 3.1 On or before the first Friday of each month following the month in respect of which entries are received, a winner will be drawn at random by computer for the preceding month. Each winner will be notified that they have won by email within two weeks of the relevant draw. There will be two winners every month.

  • 3.2 Each winner will a £50 amazon voucher.

  • 3.3 There is no cash or other alternative prize available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the promoter reserves the right to provide a similar alternative prize of equal or greater value. If a winner cannot be contacted within four weeks after the promoter first tries to contact them in accordance with paragraph 3.1, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw that winner's prize and award that prize to an alternative winner drawn at random by computer from the participants who participated in the relevant draw.

4. Other terms:

  • 4.1 The promoter cannot accept responsibility for any difficulties in entering or any entries that are not included in the draw for any reason whatsoever.

  • 4.2 The winner may be required to participate in in reasonable publicity as may be required by the promoter in respect of the promotion.

  • 4.3 The name and county of the winner will be available by writing to Customer Feedback Competition, Customer Services, Costa Limited, 3 Knaves Beech Business Centre, Davies Way, Loudwater, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP10 9QR.

  • 4.4 The promoter reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:

    • i.verify the eligibility of any entrant (including their age and place of residence);

    • ii.disqualify any entrant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the promotion or entering using fraudulent means, or who the promoter believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions; and

    • iii.disqualify entrants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry on someone else's behalf.

  • 4.5 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the promoter excludes liability for any losses, damages or claims incurred by any person in connection with the promotion or receipt or misuse of any prize.

  • 4.6 Except as otherwise required by applicable law, the promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any entry or claim which for technical or other reasons is unsuccessful, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, corrupted or misdirected.

  • 4.7 The promotion and these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Each participant irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the promotion or these terms and conditions.

Costa Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 01270695 with its registered office at Costa Limited, 3 Knaves Beech Business Centre, Davies Way, Loudwater, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP10 9QR ("Costa").

These terms tell you the rules for accessing the WiFi service that we make available to you as a visitor to a Costa store.

1. Agreeing to these terms

1.1 By accessing the Wifi service, you confirm that you accept these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access the Wifi service. We may amend these terms from time to time, so you should check these terms regularly to ensure you understand which terms apply.

2. Suspending or withdrawing your access to the WiFi service

2.1 We give you access to the WiFi service free of charge.

2.2 We do not guarantee that the WiFi service will always be available or that it will be uninterrupted, nor do we guarantee that it will be totally secure or free from bugs or viruses. Access to the WiFi service is permitted on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict your access to the WiFi service at any time and for any reason (including for business and operational reasons). We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal, but we are not obliged to do so.

3. Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

3.1 We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

3.2 Please note that we only provide access to the WiFi service for domestic and private use. You agree not to access or use the WiFi service for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

3.3 We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time that you accessed the WiFi service.

4. Your use of the Wifi Service

4.1 You agree not to:
4.1.1 use the WiFi service in any way that breaches these terms or any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
4.1.2 re-sell any part of the WiFi service; or
4.1.3 do any act or thing that might damage, disrupt or otherwise interfere with the operation of the WiFi service or any equipment, network or software used in operating the WiFi service.

4.2 You must not use the WiFi Services to participate in any of the following activities:
4.2.1 posting or sending messages substantially similar in content to 10 or more Usenet or other newsgroups, forums, listservs, or other similar groups or lists (each a "List");
4.2.2 posting or sending messages, articles, or other content to a List which are off-topic according to the charter or other owner-published FAQs or descriptions of the List;
4.2.3 sending unsolicited commercial messages or communications in any form;
4.2.4 falsifying user or other Wifi service related information, including, but not limited to, intentionally omitting, deleting, forging or misrepresenting transmission information, including headers, return mailing and Internet protocol addresses or engaging in any activities or actions intended to withhold your identity or contact information;
4.2.5 guessing passwords or accessing systems or networks without written authorisation;
4.2.6 configuring your computer systems to bypass security controls, including the installation of programs or services that allow the systems to be managed or accessed insecurely or through unauthorized means;
4.2.7 gaining, or attempting to gain, unauthorized access to any persons networking, security, management, backup, storage or monitoring systems;
4.2.8 installing programs or configuring systems to allow the monitoring, or “sniffing,” of data traveling over a shared network;
4.2.9 accessing, or attempting to access, security-relevant information, such as password files that may, among other things, be used to gain unauthorized access to system accounts;
4.2.10 installing or using software for the purpose of cracking encrypted data, including stored passwords; or
4.2.11 removing or disabling security software or services, including anti-virus software, logging utilities or authentication services.

4.3 If you supply/upload any content using the WiFi service – whether it be pictures, text, sound recordings or otherwise – the content you supply ("User Generated Content") must comply with the following rules:
4.3.1 it must not be obscene, abusive, offensive or racist and it must not promote or propose hatred or physical harm against anyone;
4.3.2 it must not harass or bully another person;
4.3.3 it must be true and honest so far as you know;
4.3.4 it must not be defamatory of anyone;
4.3.5 it must not use the material or content or infringe the rights or privacy of anyone else; for example you should not use images of well-known characters, footage or music (unless it is your own);
4.3.6 it must not contain someone else’s personal details or confidential information relating to other people; and
4.3.7 it must not promote or condone terrorism, violence or illegal behaviour.

4.4 You must not misuse the WiFi service by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the WiFi service, the server on which the WiFi service is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the WiFi service. You must not attack the WiFi service via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them.

4.5 If you breach the terms set out above, your right to use the WiFi service will cease immediately.

5. Your responsibility for loss or damage suffered by us

5.1 You will fully compensate us against all losses, costs, proceedings, damages, expenses (including reasonable legal costs and expenses) or liability that we may suffer as a result of your use of the WiFi service.

6. Other important terms

6.1 Each of the clauses of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will remain in full force and effect.

6.2 If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.

7. Which country's laws apply to any disputes?

7.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This means that your access to the WiFi service, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection therewith (including non-contractual disputes or claims), will be governed by English law.

7.2 You can bring proceedings in respect of these terms in the English courts. However, as a consumer, if you live in another European Union member state you can bring legal proceedings in respect of these terms in either the English courts or the courts of that Member State.

8. How we use your personal data

8.1 Any personal data that Costa collects as part of your use of the WiFi service at a Costa Store.

8.2 This may include the ID number of your device and location data sent from the device you use to access the WiFi service. We will use this personal data in accordance with Costa’s privacy policy.

  • We accept any reusable cup, any size, whether it's Costa branded or your own - we're not fussy.

  • When your barista takes your order, remove the lid of your reusable cup and keep hold of it whilst you hand them the rest of your cup.

  • We always welcome clean cups, but don't worry if it's not completely empty, the team will be happy to rinse your cup should you need them to do so.

  • When your drink is ready, your barista will sit your cup on the counter for you to place your lid back on your cup to take away and enjoy.
