Tasty food and drinks made from good ingredients.

We love great tasting food and drinks, created with wellbeing in mind

Whether it’s reducing sugar and salt without compromising on great taste, or offering delicious and innovative plant-based options alongside Costa Coffee classics, we're proud to offer a balanced range of options with the information customers need to choose what’s right for them.

We're working hard to offer a great tasting, high-quality, and balanced food and drink range that is supported by clear and meaningful nutritional information, all helping our customers to make the choice that’s right for them.

Our commitment to your wellbeing

imageWe’re committed to providing credible healthier choices and have a long-term plan to improve the nutritional balance of our menu.

As one part of this commitment, since 2015 we have supported Public Health England’s (PHE) 20% by 2020 sugar reduction programme in food and the 20% by 2021 sugar reduction programme in milk-based drinks.

While our core coffee range contains no added sugar, we have made some significant changes to the rest of the drinks menu through reformulation, introducing more healthier alternatives and reviewing our portion sizes.

Overall, we have achieved a total sugar reduction of just over 30% across all cup sizes and milk options in our drinks range.

In 2020, we launched a mini cup size with a wider range of great tasting sugar free syrups and we're proud to have achieved a sugar reduction of 20% in our hot chocolate powder since 2015 as well as greatly reducing the calories in our Chai Latte through reformulation and using semi-skimmed milk as the default option. In the medium size, this is just over a 100kcal reduction to 215kcal per serving, well below PHE’s calorie cap guidance of 300kcal per single serve drink.

and allergens info

Coffee is important to us, but so is the health and wellbeing of our customers. Whether it's checking ingredients for allergens, making your latte lighter, as well as improving our range of vegan offerings, we've got your cravings covered. See our menu for details on our current range of products, or download a full allergen guide below.

Nutrition and allergens guides

As we continually make adjustments to improve our food and drink offerings, ingredients may have changed since your last purchase in store. And, since we use shared equipment, we cannot guarantee that our unpackaged food items or hand-crafted drinks are suitable for people with severe allergies.

Make sure to check our full allergen information guides below on the range of products we offer, or speak to a Costa Coffee team member on your next visit to a store.

Working together, to make healthier choices

As a member of the Out of Home Food and Drink Alliance made up of leading High Street brands we have actively engaged with both Department of Health and Public Health England in support of their sugar, salt and calorie reduction programmes as well as initiatives to support clear customer information. Read the Out of Home Food and Drink Alliance’s Code of Practice, here.

We're also a member of the British Nutrition Foundation and work with organisations such as Action on Sugar and Action on Salt to ensure that the decisions we make on nutrition and wellbeing reflect best practice.

Our Healthier Choice range

We know that our customers often visit us for a special moment or event, so love some ofthe more indulgent options on our menu. But we also know that they would like to have a choice of healthier options that are high in quality and taste great too.

That's why we have our Healthier Choice range of products. These menu items have controlled levels of salt, sugar, fat, saturated fat and calories, and none are rated ‘red’ on the Government’s nutritional traffic-light colour coding. Thanks to our collaboration with M&S Food, we also are pleased to be able to offer a range of products from their delicious Eat Well range. All of these choices are clearly labelled so it is easier to find a healthier option when in our stores.
