Make your own Costa chocolate tiffin

Our easy to follow steps make a batch of our most requested recipe: the famously delicious crunchy chocolate tiffin - just like the ones you find in our stores.

Chocolate tiffinWhat you’ll need :

- 120g butter (unsalted)
- 2 tbsp unrefined golden caster sugar
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 20g cocoa powder
- 225g digestive biscuits roughly chopped into small pieces
- 225g dark or milk chocolate (melted)
- 25g raisins
- 25g glacé cherries (halved)

Ready? Let's get mixing

Step 1: Place the butter, sugar, cocoa powder and golden syrup in a saucepan and heat until the butter is melted and all of the ingredients have combined.

Step 2. Chop the biscuits into small pieces and slice the cherries into halves. Mix together and combine with the raisins. Gently drop everything into the melted mixture in the saucepan and give it all a good stir until combined.

Step 3. Lightly grease a small square or round baking tin with a little softened butter and pour in the saucepan mixture. Use a spoon or your hand to press the mixture down to form the base.

Step 4. In a separate bowl, gently melt the dark chocolate (you can use milk or a mixture of the two if you prefer) over a saucepan of boiling water. Do not allow steam to get into the chocolate as it will go lumpy. Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the biscuit mixture in the baking tin.

Step 5. Place the Tiffin in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.

Final step: Cut into bars and store in the fridge to keep fresh for up to 5 days. When you're ready to enjoy, select the biggest pieces and pair with your favourite coffee from our At Home range for an authentic Costa Coffee experience.
