Costa Club Free Coffee for a Month Giveaway
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Upon entry into this promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.
1.2 The promoter is Costa Limited (company no 01270695) whose registered office is at 3 Knaves Beech Business Centre, Davies Way, Loudwater, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP10 9QR ("Costa").
1.3 This promotion is open to Costa Club App members who have opted-in to receive marketing emails from Costa and who are residents of Great Britain aged 16 or over at the date on which they are entered into the promotion (“Eligible Member(s)”). Costa Club members who use a card and employees of Costa, its group companies, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion and any member of their respective immediate families and will not be eligible for entry into this promotion.
1.4 This promotion opens at 00:01 on Sunday 8 October 2023 and closes at 23:59 on Sunday 15 October 2023 (the “Promotion Period”).
2. ENTRY TO THE PROMOTION
2.1 An Eligible Member who makes the qualifying purchase for, and redeems, the “Treat Drop” offer uploaded on 8 October 2023 to the “Rewards” section of their Costa Club App account before that Treat Drop offer expires will be automatically entered into this promotion. To opt-out of this promotion, please contact manager.costacustomerservices@costacoffee.com. If an Eligible Member makes the qualifying purchase for, and/or redeems, their Treat Drop Offer after the end of the Promotion Period, they will not be entered into this promotion or be eligible to win a prize.
2.2 Only the Eligible Member who complies with clause 2.1 above will be entered into this promotion. Anyone trying to circumvent this rule by using alternative details including but not limited to creating multiple Costa Club App loyalty accounts will be disqualified from this promotion.
In order to participate in Treat Drop, you must have an internet connection and, prior to 15 October 2023, have download the latest version of the Costa Club App and successfully completed the membership registration process (please see Terms of Use for details of the terms and conditions which apply to a Costa Club membership and the Costa Club App).
There will only be one entry per Eligible Member who complies with clause 2.1 above; additional entries will not be made or counted.
3. THE PRIZES
3.1 There are 100 prizes in total to be won, one prize per winner. Each prize consists of a reward delivered to the winner’s Costa Club App account for thirty free handcrafted drinks of any size (including up to 5 add-ons per drink, such as syrups and additional shots but excluding flakes and marshmallows) which can be selected from the drinks displayed on the in-store menu board at the time of redemption (“Free Handcrafted Drink(s)”).
3.2 Free Handcrafted Drinks are redeemable from 1 November 2023 in-store or when ordered using Click and Collect at/from Costa outlets in Great Britain participating in the Costa Club App loyalty scheme (each a “Eligible Costa Outlet”).
3.3 A winner’s choice of a particular Free Handcrafted Drink is subject to availability at the Eligible Costa Outlet. No limit to number of drinks redeemed per day but each Free Handcrafted Drink is valid for 3 months.
3.4 Each Free Handcrafted Drink reward is valid for three months from the date on which it is issued in the Costa Club App. Any Free Handcrafted Drinks not redeemed within this three-month period will automatically expire. It is the winner’s responsibility to make sure they redeem their Free Handcrafted Drinks before they expire. Expired Free Handcrafted Drinks cannot be redeemed or reinstated to the Costa Club App.
3.5 Each Free Handcrafted Drink cannot be: (i) redeemed more than once; (ii) redeemed against purchases of items other than Free Handcrafted Drinks; (iii) redeemed against purchases of bundle deal drinks; (iv) redeemed against purchases made from Costa Express machines or through Costa’s Delivery, Proud To Serve or Order at Table services; (v) used in a manner which would entitle the winner to a promotional offer (e.g. if Costa had a buy one get one free offer on a handcrafted coffee, the use of the Free Handcrafted Drink to purchase such a coffee would not entitle the winner to a second free coffee); (vi) redeemed in conjunction with any discount or privilege card whether issued by Costa or by any third party; (vii) exchanged for cash; (viii) or redeemed in conjunction with another reward, discount or promotion.
3.6 In order to redeem a Free Handcrafted Drink in-store, activate it in the ‘Rewards’ section of the Costa Club App and tap ‘Use Now’. You will need to scan the QR Code shown at the point of purchase and state that you would like to redeem your Free Handcrafted Drink. When using Click and Collect, you can redeem a Free Handcrafted Drink by selecting it as a payment option.
3.7 If a winner cancels their Costa Club App membership, they will lose the right to redeem any Free Handcrafted Drinks that are unused at the time of cancellation and any such Free Handcrafted Drinks will be lost.
3.8 No cash or other alternative prize(s) will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of Costa’s control which mean that Costa cannot award the prize described above, Costa reserves the right to substitute a similar prize or part of the prize of equal or greater value.
3.9 Each prize is non-transferable.
4. WINNERS
4.1 A winner must be using the latest version of the Costa Club App to receive a prize.
4.2 There will be a total of 100 winners selected at random from all eligible entries, using a randomised computer process.
4.3 The winners will be notified by Monday 23 October 2023 by email to the email account they have used to register their Costa Club App account and the prize will be delivered to their Costa Club App account by 1 November 2023. Costa Club App members are encouraged to monitor this email account during this time in case they are a winner.
4.4 If a prize is declined, then the prize will be forfeited and Costa reserves the right to make another draw and to allocate the prize to the next available winner.
5. CONDITIONS
5.1 Each winner agrees to take part in reasonable publicity as may be required by Costa in respect of the promotion.
5.2 No entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, script or the use of automated devices or bulk entries are permitted or accepted.
5.3 All costs and expenses not included within the prize and are the responsibility of the winner(s).
5.4 Costa reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:
a) verify the eligibility of any participant (including their age and place of residence);
b) disqualify any participant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the promotion or entering/winning using fraudulent means, or who Costa believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions;
c) disqualify participants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry, or have created a Costa Club App account, on someone else's behalf; and
d) disqualify any participant that is, in Costa’s opinion, inappropriate, disrespectful, offensive or upsetting to other participants, fans of Costa or who acts contrary to applicable law and/or the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing (CAP Code).
6. LIABILITY
6.1 Except as otherwise required by applicable law, Costa accepts no responsibility or liability for any entry or claim which, for technical or other reasons, is unsuccessful, incomplete, lost, late, damaged, corrupted, or misdirected. Costa shall not be liable for a failure to fulfil this promotion or for any breach of these terms and conditions caused by events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
6.2 Costa has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. Costa will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, any attempt to register with or to log-in to the Costa Club App or any attempt to redeem a Treat Drop offer which is unsuccessful or incomplete, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent entry to the promotion.
6.3 Costa and its associated companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
7. GENERAL

7.2 Costa reserves the right to extend, withdraw, alter or suspend the prizes or these terms and conditions at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.
7.3 Any images are an illustrative example and do not show the exact prize(s).
7.4 All personal data submitted in connection with the promotion will be processed by Costa for the purposes of administering and managing the promotion and prizes (where applicable) and verifying the eligibility of each participant. Costa is committed to protecting the privacy of all participants. Data that is collected from or about participants will be used in accordance with Costa’s Privacy Policy (which also includes information about the data rights of participants), a copy of which can be found at www.costa.co.uk/privacy-policy. You can request access to your personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to costadpo@costacoffee.com. By participating in the promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described here.
7.5 Each winner gives Costa permission to publish their surname and county of residence to members of the public or regulators who request this information within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Winners have the right to request that their name not be published in the public domain, to do so they must notify Costa that they do not wish us to make these details available. Please note that Costa will nonetheless be required to provide the names of all prize winners to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested to do so.
7.6 If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
7.7 The promotion and these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the promotion and these terms and conditions in the English and Welsh courts. If you live in Scotland, you will also benefit from any mandatory provisions of Scottish law and can bring legal proceedings in respect of the promotion and these terms and conditions in either the Scottish or the English courts.
